Haifu Medical @ SRMGO, Casablanca, Morocco | 14-15 February, 2020

Between February 14, 2020 and February 15, 2020, the 38th National Congress of of Société Royale Marocaine de Gynécologie Obstétrique (SRMGO, the largest OB-GYNs society in Morocco ) as well as the Annual Congress of Morocco Obstetricians and Gynecologiests convened at Sheraton, Casablanca, Morocco. More than 1,000 OB-GYNs from across French-speaking African countries and France were at this Gala.




At the invitation of SRMGO, Prof. Philippe Descamps, Vice President of SCGP, French Society of Gynecologic and Pelvic Surgery, delivered a speech titled HIFU: A new entity for the treatment of myomas. As the last speaker on the first day of this Congress and in order to leave more time for the Q&A session, Prof. Philippe Descamp only gave a 20-min introduction to the technology, working principle, application, safety and effectiveness of Chongqing Haifu Medical’s USgHIFU. Prof. Descamp's talk was followed by an engaging Q&A on HIFU that lasted 40  minutes 

 

Chongqing Haifu Medical participated the OB-GYN congress held in French-speaking African countries for the first time. The 2019 International Training Workshop on Ultrasound Therapy for Tumors was credited with helping. It was co-organized by Chongqing Medical University and Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and its Science and Technology Communication Center. The Training Workshop lasted for 15 days and Involved 22 leading OB-GYN specialists from 13 countries, including 9 Board Members of the Society of African Gynecologists and Obstetricians  (SAGO) led by Prof. Namory Keita, President of SAGO. With the goal of guarding women health across African countries where the incidence of utrine fibroids and adenomyosis is as high as 60-70% in women of childbearing age, HIFU technology is entering French-speaking African countries at a steady pace!
