On the afternoon of July 21, the delegation of “Walking China – 2025 Overseas Chinese Media Chengdu-Chongqing Tour: Focusing on the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle” visited the HAIFU Technology Industrial Park in Chongqing. Nearly 30 representatives from Chinese-language media outlets across more than 20 countries and regions—including Germany, France, the UAE, New Zealand, and Brazil—gathered to explore the origin and global impact of China's original focused ultrasound technology.

As a pioneer and global leader in HIFU therapy, HAIFU Technology has redefined the paradigm of noninvasive treatment. In the demonstration zone, visiting journalists were impressed by the preciseness of the HIFU technique. 

The system utilizes focused ultrasound to achieve therapeutic effects through thermal, mechanical, and cavitation mechanisms—without the need for incisions, bleeding, or organ removal. To date, the Focused Ultrasound Tumor Therapeutic Systems have been exported to 34 countries and regions, providing organ-preserving treatment to over 320,000 patients worldwide.

HAIFU’s impact is particularly evident in Belt and Road partner countries. In Southeast Asia, clinical centers have been established in collaboration with hospitals in the Philippines and Indonesia. In Africa, medical institutions in Egypt, Tanzania, and Kenya have adopted the HAIFU Knife to expand access to safe and effective noninvasive therapies.

"Minimizing harm to patients" is a philosophy embedded in HAIFU’s approach to innovation. As noted by Xu Shu, Director of Brand Strategy, “Our ultimate goal is to benefit patients. We hope to preserve the health and dignity of millions each year through noninvasive solutions.” Compared to traditional surgery, HIFU therapy shortens recovery times and reduces treatment costs, especially in regions with limited medical resources.

This visit provided a valuable opportunity for global Chinese-language media to witness firsthand how HAIFU is not only leading China's high-end medical device industry, but also actively contributing to global health through innovation. From Chongqing's labs to operating rooms around the world, HAIFU stands as a shining example of how Chinese technology is transforming healthcare and supporting the construction of a shared future for human health.
