From December 30, 2025, the “Building the Foundations of a Strong Nation – Achievements of Made in China During the 14th Five-Year Plan” exhibition opened at the National Museum of China. The HAIFU® Focused Ultrasound Tumor Therapeutic System (JC300), independently developed and manufactured by Chongqing HAIFU Technology Co., Ltd., was selected through rigorous evaluation by an expert review committee as one of the key achievements of China’s manufacturing sector during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

Displayed alongside other landmark national innovations, the HAIFU® system represents a powerful example of how Chinese original innovation is advancing global healthcare, combining technological strength with a deeply human-centered medical philosophy.

Co-hosted by the National Museum of China and the Information and Communications Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the exhibition features more than 300 exhibits across six thematic sections, including advanced manufacturing, industrial foundations, intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, integrated development, and better quality of life. Together, they offer a panoramic view of China’s manufacturing progress during the 14th Five-Year Plan.

Original Innovation Recognized at the National Level

The inclusion of the HAIFU® system is rooted in its “from 0 to 1” original innovation and internationally advanced technological standards. This marks the second deep connection between HAIFU® and the National Museum of China. As early as 2020, the first HAIFU® system was permanently collected by the museum, becoming a landmark symbol of successful transformation of Chinese scientific achievements. Core components are currently on long-term display in Hall 2, “The Power of Science and Technology.”

In 2021, China’s MIIT, together with nine other national ministries, released the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Medical Equipment Industry,” which explicitly identified focused ultrasound therapy systems as medical equipment reaching internationally advanced levels, further underscoring strong national recognition of this field.

Broad Clinical Applications and Life-Changing Benefits

The HAIFU® system is now widely used in the treatment of uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, breast fibroadenomas, breast cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, bone tumors, and soft tissue tumors, with expanding indications including placenta accreta, cesarean scar pregnancy, and abdominal wall endometriosis.

For uterine and breast diseases, HAIFU® therapy enables complete preservation of organ function and fertility, a benefit of profound importance to women’s lifelong health and well-being. For cancer patients, localized ablation can reduce suffering, expand treatment options, and help extend survival.

To help visitors grasp this sophisticated technology, the exhibition employs visualized principles and scenario-based demonstrations, transforming the invisible process of ultrasound focusing into intuitive audiovisual experiences. Through this approach, audiences can clearly perceive how medical innovation is reshaping treatment from a painful burden into a composed and dignified choice.
